Today on our 2011 Chevy Traverse, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Forklift Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02098. With a factory roof rack installed onto the roof of our Traverse, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's cross bars. Now, starting at the front, I'll need to position the front bracket around the underside of the front bar. Now, there are 3 settings that you set the front bracket on. I'm going to use the middle 1, then I'll insert the silver T-bolt into the slot on the bottom bracket. I'll turn the black wing nut to bring the bracket up tightly against the cross bar. more

Today on our 2011 Chevy Traverse, we'll be test fitting the Thule Sprint roof mounted bike rack, part number TH528. With the factory roof rack system on our Traverse, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles cross bars. Starting at the front, I'll bring the rubber coated steel strap around the underside of the bar and hook into the connection point. I'll then tighten down the speed link handles to tighten on the straps up against the front bar. Then move to the rear, I'll repeat the same process. Once everything is all tightened down and secure, we are ready to load up our bike. more

Today on our 2009 Acura MDX we'll be test fitting the Swagman Upright roof-mounted bike rack, part number S64720. With a factory roof rack on our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's crossbars. We'll pull out our hardware and start at the front, and take the silver u-bolts to go around the underside of the front bar, up through the pre-drilled holes at the head of the bike rick. We'll then take our black wing nuts to thread down onto the silver u-bolts. We'll then move to the back of the bike rack and this time we'll take the silver bolt to go down through the pre-drilled holes of the bike rack. We'll take the black plate and insert the silver u-bolt into the holes of the black plate, and then install our wing nuts. more

Today on our 2011 Kia Sorento we'll be test fitting the Thule Sprint roof-mounted better, part number TH528. With a Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack system up on our roof we'll start off our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the load bars. I'll start at the front and bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the bar and hook them up into the connection point. Then at the back of the front bracket we'll tighten down the AcuTight knob. Moving to the rear, we'll again bring the strap around the rear bar and use the AcuTight hardware to tighten it down. With everything all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up a bike. We'll need to loosen up the nose of the bike rack, which will spread the secure out so that the forks can slide down onto it. more

Today on our 2011 Kia Sorento, we'll be test fitting the Sport Rack Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number SR4622. Today, we have a Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack up on our Sorento, so we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up on to the load bars. Starting at the front, we'll take the rubber coated u bolts to go on the underside of the front bar, up through the pre drilled holes at the head of the carrier. We'll then take our black wing nuts to thread down on to the U bolts. With that done, we'll go ahead and move to the rear and we'll need to take the black spacer which will go on the underside of the bike rack and the top of the rear load bar. We'll take the black bolts to go down through the holes and then we'll take the rubber coated steel plate to go on the underside of the rear bar. We'll insert the bolts through the holes in the plate and then install our wing nuts. With everything all tightened down and secure, we're ready to load up our bike. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Acadia we'll be test fitting the Kuat Trio roof-mounted bike rack, part number RU01. With a Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack system installed onto our Acadia, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll start at the rear and remove one of the black wing nuts. This will allow us to position the rubber-coated black bracket around the underside of the rear bar. We'll insert the bolt through the hole of the bracket and then reinstall our black wing nut, keeping it loose. We'll now move up to the front and take our rubber-coated steel u-bolts to go around the underside of the front bar, up through the pre-drilled holes at the head of the carrier. We'll then take our cylinder nuts to thread down onto the u-bolt. more

Today on our 2005 Mini Cooper, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Sprint, a fork mount roof bike rack, part number TH528. With our Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack system already installed on our Cooper, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly onto our load bars. As we do this we want to bring our black rubber coated metal straps around the underside of our load bars and this will position our foot packs directly on top of our load bars. Here at the front, we're going to fit the strap into the head of the carrier and then tighten down the black lever to secure it. We'll move to the rear and repeat that same process. With both of our clamps secure, we're now ready to load up our bike. We'll begin by undoing our rear wheel strap and making sure that our front skewer is open. We'll now grab our bike, place it onto the bike rack, we'll guide our front forks down onto our front skewer, we'll secure it here first by tightening that black and grey knob back down. more

Today on our 2005 Mini Cooper we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Upright roof bike rack, part number S64720. Here at the front we're going to bring two of the silver u-bolts around the underside of our load bar, fit them through the head of our carrier, and thread two wing nuts onto each one to hold them in place. We'll then tighten down all four of our wing nuts to secure the front of our rack to our vehicle. With the front secured we'll now move to the rear. Here we'll place one of the silver u-bolts down through the rack. We want to make sure that the threaded portion comes out on both sides of our load bar. more

Today on our 2005 Mini Cooper, we're going to be testing the Thule Big Mouth, a frame clamp roof bike rack with part number TH599XTR. With our Thule Traverse Roof Rack System already installed on the Cooper, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll remove the two black T bolts from the lower portions of the clamp, bring our clamps around the underside of our load bar, reinsert the T bolts, then tighten down both black wing nuts to secure these clamps around our bars. With the front secure, we can now move to the rear here. We'll loosen both wing nuts and remove one completely. Then we'll position our clamp over our load bar so that we have one threaded bolt coming down on both sides. We'll then replace the lower portion of our clamp, thread on our wing nut, and tighten both of them down to secure it. With our rack secure, we're now ready to load up our bike. more

Here at the front, as we do this, we want to bring the two black rubber coated metal straps around the underside of our load bar. Well then remove the black plastic cover and fit these straps into the head of the carrier. Well now take an Allen tool and tighten the Allen bolt to secure both of these straps firmly around our front load bar. With our front secured, we can replace our cover, then well move to the rear. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma we're going to be test fitting the Yakima FrontLoader, a wheel-mount roof bike rack with part number Y02103. With our Yakima Q Towers roof rack system already installed on the Tacoma we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our crossbars. As we do this as our front crossbar we'll want the two outside arms to be in the front of the bar and the single middle bar to be behind it. We can then tighten down our black t-handle to secure the front of the rack to the front of our vehicle. With the front secure we'll now move to the rear. Here we're going to loosen the black t-handle, remove the t-bolt from the slot, bring the clamp around the underside of our crossbar, reinsert the t-bolt, and tighten down the black t-handle to secure it. With our rack secure it's now time to load up our bike. We'll first undo our rear wheel strap and then extend out the large portion of our front wheel clamp. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Forklift, a fork mount roof bike rack, with part number Y02098. With our Yakima Q Towers roof rack system already installed on the Tacoma, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front, we're going to remove the skewer, slide back the black cover, and loosen the T handle. This will allow us to remove the T bolt from the lower portion of our clamp. We'll then bring that lower portion around the underside of our crossbar, re-insert the T bolt into the appropriate slot, and tighten down our T handle. This will secure the front of our rack to our crossbar. We can then slide the black plastic cover forward, and re-insert our skewer. With the front secure, we'll move to the rear. Here at the rear, we'll loosen the black T handle, remove the T bolt from the slot, bring the clamp around our bar, re-insert the T bolt, and tighten down that T handle. With the front and rear secure, it's now time to load our bike. more

With our rack secured to our vehicle, it's now time to load up our bike. We'll begin by undoing our rear wheel strap and making sure that our front skewer is loose and open. We'll grab our bike, place it onto the bike rack. more

Today on our 2010 Ford F150 we will be test fitting the Rockymounts Tierod Stretch roof mounted bike rack, part number RKY1011. With the Thule rapid traverse roof rack system on our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing the Tierod Stretch directly on to our load bars. Here at the front we'll bring the rubber coated straps around the front bar and we'll remove the black plastic cover to gain access to our Allen bolt. We'll take an Allen key and tighten the Allen bolt which will tighten our strap around our front bar. Once we have that tight we can replace the black plastic cover and make sure our skewer at the front is loose for when we're ready to load our bike. Here at the rear we'll bring our clamp around our rear bar, drop the Allen bolt through and tighten down with the Allen key. With the front and rear secured we'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack, drop in our front forks down onto our skewer. more

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Accent we're going to be test-fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1014. To install the bike rack we'll lift up the carrier and set it on top of our load bars. We'll feed the straps at the head of the bike carrier around our front bar, lock them back into the head and use an Allen key to tighten them down. Then we can reinstall the cover on the head of the bike rack. At the back we'll use the clamp and two wing nuts to secure the rear of the bike rack to our rear load bar. Once we've done that we're ready to load up our bike. We'll make sure that the skewer at the front is open and that the wheel strap at the rear of the bike is also open. We'll pick the bike up, place the rear wheel into the wheel tray and drop the front fork down into our skewer. more

Here at the front we're going to remove the T-Bolt from both clamps, bring the clamps around the underside of our load bar, reinsert the T-Bolt, and tighten down both wingnuts to secure them. With the front secure, we can move to the rear. Here we're going to loosen both wingnuts and remove one completely, we'll bring one of the bolts down on both sides of load bar, bring the metal portion of the clamp around the underside of our load bar, place the bolt back through it, and re-thread on the wingnut. We'll then tighten down both wingnuts to secure the rear of our rack. It's now time to load our bike. more

We can now tighten down all four wing-nuts, this will secure the head of our carrier to the crossbars on our rack. more

With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack system installed on the roof of our Camry, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's crossbars. We'll allow the rubber coated steel straps to go around the front bar, and then we can remove the black plastic cover to hook the straps into position. I'll then use the included allen tool to tighten down the silver bolt, which will bring the straps tightly around the front bar. Moving to the rear, I'll use one of the allen keys to remove one of the allen bolts so that we can position the rear bracket around the rear bar. I'll reinstall the allen bolt into the black thick bracket on the bottom and use the included allen wrench to tighten both allen bolts down. Once everything is all tightened down and secure, we're ready to load up our bike. more

With the Thule rapid traverse roof rack system installed on the roof of our Camry, well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles load bars. Starting at the front here, Ill make sure the rubber coated steel straps are on the underside of the bar and Ill hook them back into the connection point. Ill then turn the Speed-Link knobs which will tighten down the straps tightly around the load bars. After repeating the same process for the back bar, were ready to install our bike. Well need to loosen up the acu-tight knob at the front of the bike rack which will extend the skewer outward. Well then undo the cam-buckle strap at the back of the bike rack and place our bike up onto the bike rack. more

Today on our 2014 Toyota Camry we'll be test fitting the Tully Big Mouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack part number TH599XTR. With the Tully Traverse Roof Rack System installed onto our Camry we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles load bars. Starting at the front here we'll need to position the L-brackets that are on the front bar. You may need to loosen up the black wingnuts so that the T-bolts can fit into the slots of the L-brackets. We'll then tighten them down snug just to make sure the L-brackets stay in place. We'll move to the back of the bike rack and remove one of the wingnuts from one of the bolts. We'll position the two bolts on both the front and back side of the rear bar and then we'll swing the plate around the underside of the crossbar. more

Here at the front, well want the two outside black tabs to be on the front of the bar and the single middle tab to be behind the bar. Well then tighten the black T-handle on the front to close the clamp and secure the rack to our crossbar. Well now move to the rear. Here were going to loosen the black T-handle, remove the T-bolt from the slot in the lower portion of the clamp, bring our clamp around our bar, reinsert the T-bolt into the clamp and tighten it down with the black T-handle. With our rack secured to our vehicle, its now time to load up our bike. more

Here at the front we're going to remove the skewer, slide back the black cover, and loosen the black T-handle. This will allow us to remove the T-bolt from the lower portion of the clamp. We'll then bring the lower portion of the clamp around the underside of our crossbar, reinsert the T-bolt in the appropriate slot, and secure it in place by tightening the black T-handle. With this secure, we'll slide our black plastic cover forward and reinsert our skewer. We can now move to the rear clamp. Here we're going to loosen the black T-handle, remove the T-bolt from the lower portion of the clamp, bring it around the underside of our crossbar, reinsert the T-bolt in the appropriate slot, and tighten down that black T-handle. With our rack secure, we're now ready to load our bike. more

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth, a roof mounted bike rack, with part number TH599XTR. With our Thule Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the Terrain, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly on to our load bars. At the front, we'll remove the T-bolt from the clamp on both sides, bring the clamps around the underside of our bars, reinsert the T-bolt, and tighten it down using the wing nuts located on top. With our front secure, we'll move to the rear. Here we're going to remove one of the wing nuts completely, bring one of the bolts down on both sides of our load bar, bring the bolt back through the clamp, and secure it in place by tightening down the two wing nuts here. With our rack secured to our vehicle, it's now time to load up our bike. more

Today, on our 2013 GMC Terrain, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Upright Roof Bike Rack, part number S64720. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack system already installed on the Terrain, we'll begin our test fit by placing our rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll bring one of the U-bolts around the underside of our load bar, through the head of the carrier, and we'll hold them in place with two wing nuts. We'll complete this same process for the other side on the front of the rack and then well tighten down all four wing nuts to secure our rack in place. With the front secure, we'll move to the rear. Here at the rear, we're going to bring one of the U-bolts down through the rack, being sure that it comes out on both sides of our load bar. We'll then place on the rubber coated metal plate and hold it in place with two wing nuts. We'll now tighten them down and with both of these secure our rack is firmly secured to our vehicle. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Xterra we're going to be test fitting the Sport Rack Fork Mount Roof Bike Rack part number SR4622. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack already installed on our Xterra, we're going to begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front of the carrier, we're going to bring the two black metal, rubber coated U-bolts around the underside of our load bars, fit them through the head of the carrier, and secure them in place using the wing nuts. With all four wing nuts here at the front tight, we'll move to the rear. Here we're going to take two carriage bolts, place them through the appropriate holes in the base of the rack, being sure that we have one coming out on each side of our load bar, we'll then take the black plastic spacer, place it between our load bar and our rack, being sure that our carriage bolts go through that, then we'll put on the black rubber coated metal portion of our clamp. This will go under our load bar, and we'll secure it in place using the two wing nuts. With these two wing nuts tight, our rack is secured to our vehicle and we're now ready to load our bike. We'll want to undo our rear wheel strap and open our front skewer. We'll then grab our bike, place it onto the rack, guiding the front forks down onto the skewer where we'll secure it first ... more

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain, were going to be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Stretch, a roof mounted bike rack part number RKY1011. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the Terrain, well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front, well bring the black rubber coated metal straps around the underside of our crossbar. Well then remove the black plastic cover, fit our straps into the head of our carrier and tighten the Allen bolt with an Allen key. With the front of our rack secure, well replace the black plastic cover then move to the rear. Here at the rear, well completely remove one of the Allen keys from the clamp, bring our clamp around the underside of our bar, reinsert the Allen bolt and tighten both Allen bolts down to secure it. With our rack secured firmly in place, were ready to load up our bike. more

Today on our 2014 Toyota Camry, we'll be test fitting the Kuat TRIO Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number RU01. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System installed on the roof of our Camry, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly onto our vehicle's load bars. I'm going to start with the back and remove one of the black wing nuts from the black bracket. I'll position the black bracket around the underside of the rear bar and insert the bolt into the hole of the bracket and reinstall the wing nut. I'm going to keep it loose just in case I need to make any adjustments. Now at the front, I'll take the rubber coated U-bolts to go around the underside of the front bar up into the pre-drilled holes of the bike rack. I'll take the cylinder nuts and thread them down onto the threads of the U-bolts. I'll use the included tightening tool to tighten down the cylinder bolts around the U-bolts. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Taurus, we are going to be test fitting the Yakima front loader, a wheel mount roof bike rack, part #Y02103. With our Yakima Q tower roof rack system already installed on our Taurus, we are going to begin our test fit by placing our back rack directly onto our cross bars. Here at the front, we'll bring the two portions of the clamp to the front side of our cross bar and the single portion of our clamp will go around the rear. We will then use the T-handle located in the front to tighten this down. With our front secure, we will now move to the rear. Here we're going to loosen the black T-nut, remove the T-bolt from the slot on the lower half of the clamp, bring our clamp around our bar, re-insert the T-bolt and tighten it down with the T-nut. With our rack secure, it is now time to load our bike. We'll first undo our wheel strap and move our front wheel cradle all the way to it's forward position. We'll now grab our bike, place it onto the rack, allow it to roll forward slowly, bringing up the smaller rear half of the front wheel cradle. more

We'll then bring the metal portion of the clamp up, place the U-bolt through it, and then we'll secure this in place using two of the wingnuts. We'll now moved to the rear bar, where we're going to place two carriage bolts through the rack, being sure that they come out on both sides of our rear crossbar, we'll then place the black plastic portion of our clamp in between our rack and our load bar being sure that these carriage bolts go through it. Then we'll bring our metal portion of our clamp around the underside of our bar. We'll fit the two bolts through it and secure it and place using two wing nuts. With these two secure, it's now time to load our bike. more

Today, on our 2014 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth Frame Clamp Style Roof Rack, Part Number TH599XTR. Now we've got the Thule crossroads roof rack system already installed on the Cherokee, so we're going begin our test fit by removing the two T bolts from the lower portion of our front clamps. Then we'll bring them around the underside of our load bar and we reinsert our T bolts back in and loosely tighten down those wing nuts just to hold them in place. We can then tighten down both of those wing nuts and that's going to secure our front clamp to our front load bar. We then come here to there rear. The rear clamp, we're going to loosen both wing nuts up and we need to remove one completely. We're then going to slide that rear clamp up, allow it to come down. more

Today on our 2014 GMC Yukon XL, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Sprint, a fork-mount roof bike rack, part number TH528. With the factory roof rack already on our Yukon XL, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll want to bring the black rubber coated metal strap around the underside, and fit it into the head of our carrier. We'll then position our rear clamp so it sits on top of our rear crossbar, and we'll bring that strap around the underside of this one as well. We'll then tighten the black lever to secure that black strap around the underside of our bar. Complete the same tightening process that we used on the front here at the rear, using the black lever located on this clamp. With our front and rear secure, it's now time to load up our bike. We're first going to undo our rear wheel strap and make sure that our front skewer is open by loosening the black and gray knob located at the front. We'll then grab our bike, place it onto the rack. more

We'll then take a second U bolt and repeat that same process here on the other side of the head. We'll now tighten down all four wing nuts, and that'll secure the front of the rack to our vehicle. At the rear, we're going to place the U bolt down through the rack, being sure that a threaded portion of it comes out on both sides of our crossbar. We'll then place on the black metal plate with the flat side up, and thread on two wing nuts. We'll then tighten down both wing nuts to secure our rear clamp. With the rack secure to our vehicle, it's time to load up our bike. more

Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 GMC Yukon XL

Today on our 2014 GMC Yukon XL, we'll be test fitting the Swagman fork down roof mounted bike rack, part# S64710. With the factory roof rack on our Yukon, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's crossbars. Starting at the front, we will take the silver U-bolts and go around the underside of the front crossbar, up through the pre-drilled holes at the head of the bike rack. We will then take our black wing nuts to thread down onto the U-bolts. Once those are tight, we'll move to the rear, and this time we will take the silver U-bolt to go down through the pre-drilled holes in the tray of the bike rack. We'll then take the black plate and insert the silver bolt through the hole of the black plate. We'll then take our black wing nuts to thread down onto the U-bolt. With everything all tightened down and secure, we're ready to load up our bike. more
